NIFT Course

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), set up in 1986 under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is a Statutory Institute Governed by the NIFT Act 2006.


The Campus at New Delhi was established in 1986 in collaboration with FIT, New York. The Campuses at Chennai, Gandhinagar, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai were set up in 1995 and that of Bengaluru in 1997. The new millennium witnessed emergence of new campuses in Bhopal, Bhubneshwar, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Raebareli and Shillong. The Campus at Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir is the newly added node to NIFT’s network.

  • Bachelor of Design – B. Des (Fashion Design / Leather Design /Accessory Design /Textile Design /Knitwear Design /Fashion Communication).
  • Bachelor of Fashion Technology – B.F. Tech.
  • Master of Design – M. Des.
  • Master of Fashion Management – MFM.
  • Master of Fashion Technology- M.F. Tech.

EXAM PATTERN

Bachelor’s Programs:

For admission to the Bachelors of Design, the total score of every applicant will be a composite of:

  • 50 per cent – General Ability Test (GAT)
  • 30 per cent – Creative Ability Test (CAT)
  • 20 per cent – Situation Test

 

Fashion Technology

For admission to the Bachelors of Fashion Technology, the total score of every applicant will be based on their General Ability Test (GAT) score.

Master’s Programs

For admission to the Masters of Design, the total score of every applicant will be a composite of:

  • 40 per cent – Creative Ability Test (CAT)
  • 30 per cent – General Ability Test (GAT)
  • 30 per cent – Group Discussion or Personal Interview


Fashion Technology
For admission to the Masters of Fashion Technology, the total score of every applicant will be a composite of:

  • 70 per cent – General Ability Test (GAT)
  • 30 per cent – Group Discussion or Personal Interview
  • Fashion Management

NATA 2018 : By Council of Architecture, New Delhi

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.

  1. NATA 2018 Registration form can filled and submitted ONLINE from this website by payment of NATA fees of Rs. 1250.00 (+ Processing Charges) using Netbanking / Credit Cards / ICICI Isure Bank Challan.
  2. Download the Prefilled Registration form and procure the necessary registration documents.
  3. Select a Test Center / Region (from the website http://www.nata.in) at a location convenient to the candidate. Approach the Test center for Appointment for NATA Exam.

HOW DOES ONE ACQUIRE SUCH QUALIFICATION?

Bachelor’s Degree course in Architecture (B. Arch.) is a Five year Full-time course, available in more than 400 institutes throughout India and many other recognised institutes around the world.

WHO CAN SEEK ADMISSION TO B. ARCH. COURSE?

There are two criteria:

You must have passed XII or Equivalent examination with mathematics as one of the subjects and have score more than 50% marks in aggregate AND.You must pass recognised Aptitude test i.e., National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)
